Are you looking for a way to get back some of your time, so you can focus on student learning? Well you have come to the right place! Eric Corso at CVHS has created a cool Google Sheet template that will expedite your daily procedure to identify which students were (...and were not) present during your live Zoom sessions.
First, check out Eric's video, which explains how the Google Sheet works and how to set it up with your own roster(s). (Note: Since this video was made, the template was improved in a way that will automatically add the @ceresusd.net ending to each student's ID number. Thank you to Kristen Bartlett for making this improvement!)
Second, click on this special link to create your own copy of the Quick Attendance Google Sheet. The template was originally designed for a high school teacher who teaches up to 6 class periods, but you can delete tabs (or make additional tabs by copying the template) as needed to match the number of classes you teach.
Do you have another trick you use to streamline attendance? Or do you have another tedious task that you wish you could streamline with a spreadsheet? Let us know by leaving a comment below!
