What is Padlet? It’s an online virtual “bulletin” board or digital wall, where students and teachers can collaborate, reflect, share links and pictures, in a safe and secure location. This used to be free and unlimited but now there is a fee.
So how about finding a dupe? Here you go - Slides to the rescue!
Slides can be used by students and teachers to post notes on a common page. They can see all the ideas gathered on the Slide board immediately. The notes posted by teachers and students can contain links, videos, images and document files.
The uses for this in the classroom are virtually endless! There's a good chance you've done the “write on a sticky note and put it on the wall” activity — or have seen it happen before. Now it can all be done safely during Distance Learning or for in-person classroom time!
When sharing Slides in Google Classroom make sure to give students editing rights (Students can edit file)
Here is an example of a completed Padlet Dupe Slides sharing students thoughts after the first day of in person school.
Click on the Slides link to “Make a Copy” and edit to fit your own classroom needs. Enjoy!
