On the 6th day of Tech-mas, I loudly said, 'Woot! Woot!'
Because I won the contest from Kahoot!
There are many online quiz apps out there. Kahoot! is one of our favorites because it's a great way for students to test their basic knowledge by answering multiple-choice quiz questions. Kahoot! is a good option when you want all of your students to get real-time feedback as they answer each question at the same time as a group. The quizzes are set to seasonally-appropriate music.
To get started quickly, you can search from their library of over 30 million public quizzes, or you can create your own quiz from scratch. The people at Kahoot! have recently added advanced options like team play, random question order, and challenge activities that allow independent practice.
If you want to try Kahoot! in your classroom, there has never been a better time than now. That's because Kahoot! has a special link to holiday-themed quizzes, and they're even giving away sweaters. To find out more, check out the Kahoot! Holiday Calendar page.
Our friends at the Stanislaus County Office of Education (SCOE) Badge Project are offering a Kahoot! badge to any teacher who uses the program to create an original quiz. To learn more about the Kahoot! Badge, click on the badge to the left or this link. The SCOE Badge Project is a great way to earn recognition for your professional technology use. In addition to proudly displaying your badges, you can also be entered into monthly prize drawings.
