On the 4th day of Tech-mas, I want you to look at...
my awesome winter StoryboardThat!
Around this time of year, we use the holidays and seasons to motivate and engage our students in the concepts we teach them. StoryboardThat is an awesome resource to have your students show their mastery in those concepts. In Ceres, we have a district license to this tool, so it's easy to incorporate StoryboardThat into your next lesson.
At the StoryboardThat website, you'll find many winter holiday lesson templates here for you to easily assign to your students. Try asking your students to share how they celebrate the winter holiday or illustrate a holiday they've just learned about!
Are you just getting started with StoryboardThat? We have two resources to help you:
First, follow the directions on these Slides to log in and set up your class. Then, use these Slides to introduce StoryboardThat to your students.
Our friends at the Stanislaus County Office of Education (SCOE) Badge Project are offering a StoryboardThat badge to any teacher who uses the program. To learn more about the StoryboardThat Badge, click on the badge to the left or this link. The SCOE Badge Project is a great way to earn recognition for your professional technology use. In addition to proudly displaying your badges, you can also be entered into monthly prize drawings.
We hope you find StoryboardThat a useful tool to support and deepend student learning--not just during the holiday season, but throughout the year. Contact us with your ideas and questions.
