We have important updates for you! Some of our favorite tech tools have new features rolling out for the new school year. We have also made some changes you will want to know about too! Check out these new updates:
GoGuardian
You no longer need to roster your students by adding your Google Classrooms to GoGuardian. All rostering takes place automatically. To switch over to your new Clever synced account, first archive your old classes in any accounts previously used by following the steps on this blog post: GoGuardian: How to Archive a Classroom, then access your new GoGuardian Clever synced account by clicking on the icon in Clever!
Also, there are some new ways to chat with students in GoGuardian! Voice calling is now an option. Click here for more information and don't forget to log into GoGuardian with Clever.
Flipgrid
Flipgrid has been busy this summer adding many new features. Educators spoke up and they listened! New background board options have been added, including graph and lined paper. Split screen is also a new option that allows you and your students to record a video on one side of the screen and add a board or a blank whiteboard on the other side to draw while you are explaining. Seesaw for Schools
TK-2 teachers and students in Ceres Unified now have access to the premium features of Seesaw! Every TK-2 teacher and student have been upgraded to Seesaw for Schools. Portfolios will now follow students from kinder through 2nd grade. Teachers can create an unlimited amount of activities, students are rostered into their classes automatically, and teachers and students can access their Seesaw classes with the click of a button in Clever. MobyMax
Placement tests in MobyMax have changed. There is no longer the option to choose a grade level for a placement test. Students will start their placement at a grade level below the grade they are registered at in the system. The assessment will adapt by moving up or down a grade level depending on how many questions are answered correctly. For example, if a student is registered as a 4th grader, they will begin their placement test with the least difficult questions at the 3rd grade level and then move up or down accordingly.
