On the 7th day of Tech-mas, my EdTechs gave to me, a song maker to fill my class with glee!
What would the Holiday season be without music? Whether you prefer strings, woodwinds, pianos, or synthesizers, Chrome Music Lab has you covered! With the new Song Maker Chrome Experiment, children of all ages can create electronic songs simply by clicking a mouse or touchscreen. You can even use either type of keyboard--computer or MIDI.
Song Maker is simple enough for young children, but it has plenty of enhancements older kids too...even grownup kids! If you turn on the microphone, you can add a note by singing or humming it. Under the Settings button, you can change the the key, time signature, and octave range of your screen. There are also plenty of musical instruments to select from.
When your musical creation is complete, you can save it and share it via a simple URL link. Once shared, your friends can even add to your masterpiece. No login is required, so literally anyone with a device can use it. For more detailed instructions, check out the short instructional video from Chrome Music Labs.

Stay Techie,
My students absolutely love the SongMaker! I use it as one of my rewards/class coupons & it's one of their top picks! They are becoming very creative and engaged with their musical side!
